A Table Quiz was held on Monday 22nd February, 2010 in the excellent surroundings of Sheridan’s on the Docks, Galway. Grand Quiz Master General, Mr Leighton Turner asked the questions, in what was an entertaining evening, with the two leading teams ending up on equal points and forcing a tie-break round! There was a raffle and spot prizes on the night, with prizes kindly donated by local businesses. The success of this event has resulted in further quiz nights being planned. A donation from this event was made to the Galway R.N.L.I.
About Lotus Lives
Lotus Lives is a non-profit charity set up to help orphans, street children, and underprivileged people living in Cambodia. In 2008 a group of people from Galway raised money through The Streets of Galway Road Race to help a children’s orphanage and families living in the slums of Phnom Penh. Such was the gratitude that came back from these people, that it was decided to make this an annual event, and so Lotus Lives was born.
